is HTML5

It required only a few small changes to move from XHTML 1.0 Strict to HTML5, but as of today, is being served as valid HTML5. For some time, I’ve been waiting for HTML5 to get closer to becoming a W3C recommendation, and for better support from user agents, but I’ve gotten caught up with other improvements to the site and decided to make the transition now.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be updating the HTML to incorporate some of the new tags. I’m pretty excited about replacing divs with new semantic elements like <header>, <article>, and <footer>.
